# Phone alerts

Get a notification on this phone or computer when something in Prince George needs your attention. No account and no email: it’s tied to this browser only.

- Only what you pick, and at most a handful a day. Evacuation orders and warnings always come through.
- The same alert never arrives twice. Tapping it opens the page with the details and the official source.
- On iPhone and iPad, add PG Pulse to your home screen first and turn alerts on from there. Apple only allows website notifications for sites on the home screen.
- These don’t replace official warnings. Provincial emergency alerts reach phones on their own; for local evacuation notices, sign up with the official alerting system listed on the [emergency page](https://princegeorgepulse.ca/emergency/).

## Alerts on this phone

Choose what is worth a notification. You can change or turn them off here at any time.

Turning alerts off here deletes this browser’s subscription from our server straight away. Blocking notifications in the browser’s settings stops them too, and we delete the subscription the next time we try to send. [What we store](https://princegeorgepulse.ca/privacy/#push).
