# What is there for kids and new parents?

The library has free storytimes, the City runs swim and skate programs, and there are playgrounds, indoor play spaces and family events all year. Our indoor activities list and playground map are good starts.

Checked October 1, 2026. Numbers update on their own.

Free or cheap: library programs, parks and playgrounds, splash parks in summer, public skating and swimming. Indoor options are in our indoor activities roundup. Families on a low income can apply for the City’s Leisure Access Program for discounted recreation.
