Many locals keep winter tires on for the whole snowy season. **Are M+S tires legal winter tires in BC?** Yes, tires with the M+S symbol and at least 3.5 mm of tread meet the minimum requirement, but tires with the mountain and snowflake symbol offer better traction on snow and ice. **Should I buy used tires?** Used tires can save money if they have good tread and no damage. Have them inspected and check the manufacture date, as rubber ages over time. ## Data Machine-readable data behind this page, from the free PG Pulse API (https://princegeorgepulse.ca/developers/). ### Businesses in this category Source: [PG Pulse business directory, compiled from the City of Prince George business licence registry and business websites](https://princegeorgepulse.ca/directory/).
