Where can I swim, fish or ride trails?

There are dozens of lakes within an hour (West Lake, Purden, Eskers and more), city trails from the river paths to Forests for the World, and mountain-bike networks. Our parks and trails maps and the lakes guide list them.

In the city: the Heritage River Trail, Cottonwood Island, Forests for the World and Pidherny for bikes. Out of town: provincial parks with beaches and boat launches, and stocked lakes for fishing (you need a BC freshwater fishing licence). Check the fire danger (Very Low) and campfire bans in summer.
