Off-leash dog parks in Prince George

The City designates seven off-leash areas. Five are fenced dog parks with gated entries; at Moore’s Meadow and Ginter’s Meadow dogs can run in the open meadow but must be leashed on the trails. Everywhere else, including Cottonwood Island, Forests for the World and the Heritage River Trail, dogs must stay on a leash, and they are not allowed at all in playgrounds, sports fields, cemeteries, Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park, Rainbow Park or Connaught Hill Park (leashed dogs may still use the Heritage River Trail where it passes through).
