How do I find a dentist, optometrist, physiotherapist or counsellor?
Browse the directory categories for each trade, check that the person is registered with their regulatory college, and ask whether they take new patients and direct-bill your insurer.
Checked October 1, 2026. Numbers update on their own.
Our directory groups them: dental care, eye and hearing, physio and massage, and mental health. Each listing links to the business’s own site.
In BC most health professions are regulated by a college that keeps a public register; checking it confirms the person is licensed and shows any limits. For counselling on a budget, look at the community and non-profit services on our services page, and call 8-1-1 or the crisis line if you need help now.
