Pick a vibe. You get the part of town, places that fit with live open-now badges, somewhere to eat after, and a ride home. All from real listings; no rankings.
Craft beer and cider
Start downtown at Trench on 2nd Ave, then head to Deadfall's taproom on Nicholson (it closes at 9). CrossRoads now pours at its College Heights brewpub. Out of town: the winery on Pulpmill Rd and the cidery on Foreman Rd.
The clubs cluster downtown between 3rd and 5th Avenue, so you can walk between them. Most nights are 19+; bring ID and check each club's social pages for who's on.
Nights the venues publish themselves: music bingo at Trench on Thursdays, trivia there most Tuesdays and every other Tuesday at The Dudley, and bingo and games nights at the Legion.
Bowling and pool at Black Diamond and golf simulators at Tee Box are downtown; Strike Zone is on Westwood Dr and the casino, open till 2, is out on Highway 97.
The Canadian Brewhouse on Recplace Dr by CN Centre stays open till 1 or 2, handy after a Cougars game. Boston Pizza's two lounges and The Dudley cover Spruceland and College Heights.
3rd Avenue, 5th Avenue and George Street are the downtown dinner strip; Earls, Moxies and Browns keep the bar open till midnight or later on Central and at Pine Centre. Book ahead on Fridays and Saturdays.
Hours change, especially on weeknights and holidays. Check with the venue before you head out.
